About brittle bones

brittle bones started this conversation

Hi, I am new to the post & I have a six year old son with brittle bones disease. He has had 8 broken bones with numerous compiling medical bills. He has x-ray after x-ray, bone density scan, surgery of late that has resulted in more medical bills adding to his previously owed bills. We need a break. We have health insurance however the amount owed above the amt. paid is lots. I also, need to home school him because he breaks so easily. That is more compiled cost. I feel at a loss because our health care system is not geared toward helping midle class families & we are on verge of lossing our home & transportation. We just cannot keep up any more. We try to balance the bils & pay the most essential each month. I don't know if I am smart enough to figure all the route's to take out. Any suggestions.

I work with a discount company that can work along with your insurance to bring your out-of-pocket portion down.  Members also have access to our Hospital Advocacy Program, which negotiates special discounts for hospital stays and treatments.  You may also want to look into working from home with us since you're home-schooling.  All the info is on my website - just click on the link near my name that says Save Money/make Money.  Also, contact Easter Seals, Elks and Shriners for financial assistance with the medical  costs.  - Rosie
